Catherine Lane
Catherine Lane is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Toronto, Canada who has exhibited work in Canada and the US. Her work focuses on non-linear storytelling and play.
Lane received both her BFA and MFA in Visual Art from York University. She currently teaches studio art at Sheridan College in a joint Art and Art History program with the University of Toronto Mississauga. Previous artist residencies include the Bemis Center for Contemporary Art in Omaha, Nebraska, and the Open Studio in Toronto.
As an enthusiast of 80s/90s toys, she also makes Art Toys. These toys are cast in resin from parts of vintage toys or original sculpts and then hand painted.
